Welcome to Emmington Shoot

Nestled in the beautiful countryside near Emmington, Oxfordshire, Emmington Shoot is a well-established, friends-and-family-style shooting syndicate that combines sport, conservation, and camaraderie across 500+ acres of stunning farmland, plus approximately 400 acres of surrounding woodland, where there are no other shoots, so we dog-in from these areas.

We’re currently looking for a small number of like-minded guns to join our syndicate for the upcoming season.

The Shoot

We put down 2250 pheasant, 1000 French partridge and 500 duck, which are on two large ponds. We have a team of 12/14 beaters, plus pickers-up.

We have approximately 30 acres of sown cover crop, plus approximately 50 acres of wild bird mix cover. We normally peg 10 guns, we shoot 8 days, plus beaters day and we average 100+ birds per day. There may also be the availability of some high-seat Deer stalking.

8 days shooting, plus beaters day, £5000 per gun.

We normally shoot on Saturdays, October to January, dates TBA.

Hospitality

Full hot lunch including wines and beers provided in the shoot lodge.

About the hosts

The shoot has run by a local man for more than 10 years, is well established, and has great camaraderie. The emphasis is on having a sporting day with friends, not shooting a high number of birds.

The Land & Conservation

The ground is a beautiful mix of lightly wooded areas, grassland, and water, offering varied and sporting drives.

The hosting farmer is deeply committed to wildlife conservation, feeding year-round to ensure continuity and health of bird populations. Our ethos values low-pressure, high-quality shooting in balance with nature.
